2214 in my Spam folder
406 in my Inbox
After going through my Inbox, of the 406 new emails, 78 remained, so 328 Spam emails got through my filter.
Within the Spam folder there were 2 false positives, right at the end of the list. I thought for a minute it would be 100% Spam but no such luck, looks like going through my Spam list is something I’m going to have to continue.
For the record, I use Norton 360.
We’re always adding new properties to www.selfcateringhols.com and now list over 1,000 properties in 43 countries.
With so much choice it’s difficult to know where to start – that’s why we have improved our property search facility, where you can search on location, availability, price and a number of property facilities such as showing only those properties with a pool or which accept pets.
If that wasn’t enough we’ve also started compiling lists of possible search options for you. Some of our newer lists include:

It’s that time again, Monday morning, when I have to wade my way through the weekend’s Spam. Pretty bad this week, with 3,000+ emails in my Spam box and a further 1,500 in my inbox (my Spam filter apparently decided enough was enough and took a break).
There were 4 false positives in my Spam box, so the filter identified 0.13% as Spam which it shouldn’t have.
I had an email from WAYNE (where are you now?) which I registered with when it first came out a while back to see what it was like. The email said I had a message from ‘Anna’. I checked out the URL to make sure it wasn’t a spoof and then tried it out. Apparently the link was no longer valid, but it did go to www.wayne.com. Are they sending out bogus ‘you’ve got a message’ emails to generate more visitors???
Here is the email:

2851 Spam emails since Friday afternoon.*
4 false positives, so a 0.14% false positive rate. Given that we’ve invested a lot into ensuring that all emails and messages are responded to promptly, the false positive rate is sufficiently high that I’ll be going through my Spam folder for a while yet.
* 2851 was when I started at the top the list; by the time I’d got to the bottom this had increased to 2867
ryanair site redesign problems?
RyanAir recently took their site down for maintenance. It is now back up and is showing taxes and charges more prominently alongside the price. When testing the site however I initially got ‘page unavailable’ when searching for flights. A refresh later and I got a page up, but no flights found. A change of dates and I got Http/1.1 Service Unavailable.
Finally after another refresh I get some results – when selecting a flight you are now shown a breakdown of the price, plus the taxes and fees. For the purposes of my testing, my outward bound flights came to ?242.16, the return ?276, so ?518.16 in total.
I was – for fun! – going to see what the final price would come out as as this price excludes fees for airport check-in/checked baggage/excess baggage/sports/musical/infant equipment. Unfortunately when proceeding I got:
An Error Has Occurred
I wasn’t able to test the results fully but feel confident that while this is a very small step in the right direction it still excludes a large number of ‘extras’ that are hard to avoid, making it a missed opportunity to put things right. Meanwhile, they need to get their site more stable asap.
