warning: goletmadrid

we worked with Susana Inajeros from goletmadrid for a while. All was well until she double booked us, leaving our client without accommodation. She has since refused to to return the money paid to her and refuses to communicate.

Accommodation was found for the client but I recommend you do not book with goletmadid.

We work with hundreds of property owners, have never had this problem since setting up selfcateringhols in 2002 and have never before issued a warning about an owner.

Double booking a client is sloppy, but taking the money and refusing to communicate is something I feel people need to know about – book with goletmadid at your own risk

Sarah Andrews

Sarah (no relation) started working with us to provide travel-related content for our country, region and feature pages. Over time she also helped with other areas of content on the site and also with the template we use for many of our PPC ads.

Sarah is a great person to work with; she tailored her work exactly to our requirements and between us we came up with some great ways of writing text that read well to the human visitor but which also stressed the relevant keywords to the search engines.

I learned a lot working with Sarah and all in all she comes highly recommended.

Albert is an English (and Spanish, Catalan and French) speaking programmer who worked with us full time in 2005 and who continues to work with us on a freelance basis.

He was working with Deutsche Bank when we persuaded him to come and work with us, a decision that worked out well for both parties.

Albert replaced my brother as the key technical developer for www.selfcateringhols.com. There was a very big difference in working methodology between the two, which meant that Albert was much more predictable when it came to planning timescales and costs, but required a more rigorous approach to planning each project.

Albert is 100% trustworthy and very dependable and a good guy to work with.

James (my brother) and I worked pretty well together. While I created the very first edition of www.selfcateringhols.com James came on board early on and dragged the site into the dynamic, database driven site that we have today.

James and I worked together on the site for a number of years and James is responsible for creating the site template which drives large sections of the site today. I learned a lot working with James but the thing that I took away more than anything was a way of thinking that involved stepping back and looking at the bigger picture and making sure that development was designed with the future in mind. It’s significantly easier to create code taking into account future possible developments than it is to go back and re-code when future development becomes today’s development.

Working with James also fine honed my project management skills. I’m not sure how good I was at managing James but I definitely learned how a project should be managed and took that on board with James’ replacement, Albert.

James’ blog is jamesandre.ws and his business site is re-cog.
